This year Australia’s premier spa and beauty trade event is back with more innovation, a fresh vision and a new focus covering all areas on the spa and beauty business spectrum. Leading brands including Payot, Thalgo, Youngblood, Dermalogica, Essie, OPI, Sothys, Pelactiv, Danné Montague-King and Minx Nails, to name but a few, will all be exhibiting at the event which runs from September 4 - 5 at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre in Darling Harbour.

For the first time at this year’s Expo, nail experts will be offered the chance to win a $1000 cash prize in some eye-catching competition categories including 7 Deadly Sins, The Undead and Grimm's Fairytales, hosted by nail artist extraordinaire Sarah Wong

For some serious pampering visitors need to visit the Minx - Mani and Martini bar. Enjoy a cocktail and have a manicure du jour in the Middle Eastern themed area, all very Sex and The City!

Other events to look out for include presentations by Craig Howorth who will be educating visitors on the ancient techniques of healing with Sound and Stone seminars and Nigel Stanislaus who will be hosting a live demo on stage, fresh from the shows in NYC, giving insider hints and tips on achieving a catwalk look.

Media personality Mia Freedman will be on hand offering her tips on "Balancing Life and Keeping Motivated, while world renowned nutritionalist and food philosopher Sherry Strong will be hosting a Spa Nutrition seminar.

Health and Wellbeing is again a focus at this year’s Expo and visitors can explore how this contemporary approach to the industry will transform their businesses.

This holistic approach to health and business will be explored in the themed Concept Spa area, set to push the boundaries of innovation by taking visitors on a sensory journey to demonstrate the latest customer service techniques – an essential go-to hot spot for all spa and salon owners and managers.

Rae Morris will be weaving her makeup magic in another round of her revolutionary Advance Class Workshops, indispensable for all budding makeup artists. Similarly beauty school pioneers, Elly Lukas College, return for 2010 with two ground-breaking interactive workshops. An essential stop for beauty therapists, Elly Lukas will present Eyelash Extension and Sound Therapy workshops, with live demos, and the latest application techniques.

Visitors will be inspired by the Makeup Awards where competitors battle across two categories – Super Heroes and Villains and Brides through the Ages. And with daily catwalk shows and the Nail Awards it will be one busy schedule!
